If you are hoping to go to the North of the Island, brokers' T&Cs will tell you it is not allowed. The majority of the suppliers however will allow it, although it is best to mention it and also be aware that you must purchase 'special' insurance at the kiosk located by the Green line crossing point.
This is mandatory & although it will only cost you around €20 for the day it will cover you for any issues whilst you are outside Greek Jurisdiction.

Who are the reputable 'Brokers'

These are the brokers who you can view multiple offers, deals & promos side by side - different brokers deal with different providers, so check them all out to find the best deal!
If you require a second driver, many offers will be available free, although if it is not stated, then there will be a charge.
When booking through a broker ALL bookings will require a credit card in the name of the lead driver debit cards will not be accepted!
** WARNING: BE VERY WARY OF BOOKING WITH GREEN MOTION UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES **
Green Motion have been the subject of many thousands of alleged scams against customers involving false charges for pre-existing damage, substandard vehicles and old or dirty vehicles, they appear to be far and away the worst car hire company I have reviewed - so however cheap & attractive their offers may seem, it is my personal advice not to use them in any location at any time!
*** IMPORTANT INFORMATION ***
Please be advised that It appears many car-hire companies in Cyprus have recently amended their payment policies to demand that debit cards can no longer be used to place a deposit when hiring a vehicle. They now insist that a credit card be used and in some cases they will even accept a cash deposit. Although the booking can be made using a debit card, be careful not to get caught out when arriving to collect your car without a credit card , as it is not always evident during the booking process that this is necessary.
